The ACT International Education Strategy – Canberra: Australia’s Education Capital - was launched by the Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education, Training and Research on Friday 2 September 2016.
The Strategy has been designed to acknowledge and support one of our most important sectors and recognises that thriving campuses create opportunities for collaboration, commercialisation, business creation and talent attraction and retention.
International students bring diverse perspectives, build cultural awareness and understanding, drive broader visitation, and help develop people to people, business, trade and investment links. As alumni following graduation, international students are advocates, innovators, and exemplars, helping to raise the profile of Canberra around the world.
